Callerton Academy, Newcastle

The new build school at Bedeburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE5 4JQ was completed for around 1,200 pupils. The mechanical and electrical contractor/consultant TGA states that it delivered the electrical services for the project.

Electrical works included:

• General and emergency lighting
• Automatic/manual lighting controls
• Daylight-linked lighting
• Small power and data systems
• Access control and security systems
• Fire alarm and emergency evacuation systems
• Low-voltage (LV) electrical distribution
• Electrical metering and energy monitoring

Furrowfield School, Gateshead

Furrowfield School located in Gateshead underwent a full refurbishment during the summer of 2024, the works consisted refurbishment of the main school, accommodation block and one of the onsite bungalows.

Electrical works included:

• New low voltage distribution system
• Full rewire
• New general and emergency lighting upgrade
• New fire alarm system
• Security systems
